First off, it’s not your fault. Unfortunately, many people in this industry take advantage of the fact that the general population doesn’t have this knowledge, and share misinformation. The truth is, it didn’t work for you in the past because the person you got the info from was either not being truthful, or, just has good genetics & a healthy metabolism.
See, if someone pitches you a product, fad diet, or program that has you lose some weight in the beginning, but it’s not actually sustainable…. that always keeps you coming back, which equals more revenue for them. As someone who’s been on this journey, learned the ropes to being a fitness coach, and been on the bodybuilding side of things, I can guarantee you anyone losing weight is practicing these two fundamentals I’m about to teach you.
The 2 step System:
From pilates girls to bodybuilders, we are all mindful of two main things: macros and movement.
Macros are our carbs, fats, and proteins.
Counting calories never works because it doesn’t tell you how much of each macro group you’re eating. Your body literally requires a certain amount of each macro group to carry out its bare minimum functions, never mind trying to keep up with a vigorous gym routine and cardio.
If you’re not eating enough of one or all macro groups, your metabolism will suffer and you will be unable to make any physical changes to your body! Calculate your current maintenance macros and if your metabolism is suffering from low food intake, slowly and strategically up your food and you will see results. Movement is comprised of our daily steps, gym sessions, and cardio.
*Spoiler alert: there is a such thing as too much movement.*
If you’re in the gym 7 days a week or doing cardio outside of a weight loss phase, chances are you’re overdoing it and not giving your body a chance to rest.On the flip side, if you’re working hard in the gym but not being mindful of your steps, you’re kinda defeating the purpose. A step goal alone helps boost your metabolism and lets your body burn more calories at rest, which is… awesome! Implementing and mastering this system is exactly what will get you to your goal, every single time. Having enough food to fuel your metabolism and movement is guaranteed to get you results. Having enough movement (and enough rest) to put the food to use is also guaranteed to get your results. It’s a fool-proof, proven system for success.
